Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Kept collects, how we use it and the choices you have. Kept is operated by Raaina Nagpal, India. Contact: raaina.nagpal2028@mastersunion.org.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we can't see your password), and the first name, last name and phone number you choose to add to your profile.
Your saves: the screenshots, links and page captures you send to Kept, and the details attached to them (title, collection, city, locality, address, brand, price, notes and whether you've been there).
Plan and payment status: whether you're on Free or Pro and your subscription dates. Card and bank details are collected by Dodo Payments, not by us.
Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type, pages visited and how the app is used, which helps us fix problems and improve Kept.

How we use it

To run your account and show your saves back to you.
To suggest titles, collections and details for new saves using AI.
To process subscriptions and send service messages such as sign-up confirmation emails.
To keep Kept secure, prevent abuse and improve the product.

We don't sell your personal information and we don't use your saves for advertising.

Services that process data for us

Supabase: account sign-in, database and private storage for your screenshots.
Vercel: hosting for the website and its server functions.
Google (Gemini AI, and Maps/Vision for place lookup): receives the screenshot or text of a save to suggest its details.
Apify: reads the public details of an Instagram reel or post when you share its link.
Dodo Payments: our merchant of record, which processes payments and handles billing.
Analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity: help us understand how people use Kept (pages viewed, clicks and anonymised session recordings). Clarity uses cookies.

These providers may process data outside India. They only receive what they need to provide their service.

The Chrome extension

The Save to Kept extension captures the visible part of the current page and its address only when you click it, and sends them to your own Kept account. It doesn't read your browsing history or run on other sites in the background.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and saves until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Deleting a save in Kept removes it and its screenshot. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can view, edit and delete your saves and profile details inside Kept at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email raaina.nagpal2028@mastersunion.org, and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also raise concerns with us at the same address.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, screenshots are stored in private storage, and access to each account's data is restricted to that account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app or by email.
